It’s rather inevitable that Hong Kong parents sometimes fail to keep their children company due to work. When our daughter expresses that she misses her mother, who is working overtime and returning late, I give her paints to draw her mother, while talking about the miscellaneous daily interactions with her. Whether the drawings look good or not doesn’t matter. What matters is the presence of love in them.
